You were an introvert, and he was an extrovert. And as it typically goes, the extrovert "adopts" the introvert. You were a "sad" little thing, according to him. (You most definitely were not.) He saw you sitting alone in a corner one day and decided from then on that he'd always be by your side. Wherever you were, he was never too far away.

You were sitting on the couch, enjoying a book. And who should walk in with a lopsided grin? None other than Phillip himself. He greets you with a smile, and in return your face is the same deadpan expression as always.

But nonetheless you silently leaned your head upon his shoulder, and he smiled because that was more than enough for him. He knew that deep down, you valued the connection you guys shared. Even if you may not be as expressive as he was.
