You were 3yrs old, sitting on the high chair in an outdoor cafe. Your mom was sitting directly next to you wearing a sun dress, your dad sitting in front of you wearing shorts, shirt and sunglasses. It was a nice family lunch date outside.
Across your table was another family, a mom, dad and their son who looked around your age, maybe a year older. The little boy noticed you with big curious eyes. You were obviously a beautiful child but he looked at you with the innocence fascination of a toddler. The boy's mom nudged him handing him two flowers from her bouquet. The boy walked over to your table looking up at you in the high chair.
Little boy:- "Hello-hi, I am Josh. This is for you" He reached on his tip toes to place the flower on your table. This cute gesture earned a cooing from your mom.
He then turned to your mom placing the other flower on her lap "And this is for you, ma'am." He was indeed an adorable toddler.
Your mom was on cloud nine at the sweet gesture. She thanked him calling him a 'little gentleman'. His mom was smiling proudly and his dad was having a laugh, seeing his little boy already being a gentleman towards the ladies.
Little boy:- "Do you want to be friends?" *He tilted his head cutely waiting for a response from you."
Your dad obviously found this very cute and he knew the boy was just asking innocently but he had waited all this time to bring out 'dad mode'.
He smirked at the little boy.
Dad:- "Oh yeah buddy, you're gonna give my daughter AND my wife flowers huh." He said in a joking tone ruffling the boy's hair. "But you know what, since you're such a little gentleman, I trust ya. But 'just friends' okay?" He held out his pinky finger. The little boy looked at him wide eyed and nodded. He intertwined his little pinky finger with your dad's.
Your mom:- she giggled taking you out of your high chair and onto her lap. "Oh sweetie, looks like you've made a new friend now."
She then placed you down and went up to the boy's mom to chat with her.
