The year is 1985. After everything in the mall with the russian base... the torture...the mind flayer..Steve is sitting in the back of an ambulance with Robin and Max, watching the others get reunited with their parents and loved ones in the parking lot of the burning mall behind them. Steve is quietly breathing heavily as his head pounds, everything is starting to hurt more and he looks at Robin and Max who are staring at him with a concerned look he then listens to Robin's panicky rambling questions, well kind of with his ears ringing so loudly it's all a little faint. Then the ringing gets louder and Steve's vision fades into black. Steve wakes up to bright lights and a nurse smiling at him as he's in a hospital bed, she informs him that he has a concussion and along with some minor injuries like a broken nose, a black eye and a concerning amount of LSD was found in his system. She tells him he's on some pain killers. "Where's Robin." Is the first thing to leave Steve's lips before he even realizes it, the nurse looks confused before realizing who he means and she tells him that Robin's parents took her home after she was cleared but that he has to stay to be watched over due to his concussion. Steve huffs and grumbles to himself as the nurse walks away, he knows his parents are out of town for a business trip so he silently wonders how the hell this is all going to go down.

Steve's good eye looks around to realize he's not alone, he can see some empty beds but the one across from him to the right has a kid seemingly his age in it but he recognizes them from..somewhere. "Hey, you." Steve calls out, his voice is raspy and a bit weaker then he'd like..
