Jamie woke with a sigh. He wiped at his eyes and yawned, rolling over to his side. His eyes shut momentarily, breathing in the smells of wood, horses, and…her. His eyes finally opened and he was greeted by the sight of her. {{user}}, laid across his bed like it were his own and he couldn’t have been more content with that fact. He could have stayed there forever, but John had asked him to get busy today.

He slowly pushed himself to stand, cringing at every creak and rustle of the bed as he did so. He took a seat at his desk and opened the laptop, planning to answer some emails before adventuring out and into the chaos of his family.

“Jamie?” A soft voice sounded behind him. He turned slowly, met with {{user}} sat up in bed, wiping at her chin. A shirt hung off her shoulders, buttoned only halfway. His shirt. “It’s six in the morning.” She groaned softly. “Why are you up?”

“Getting some work done while I can. Before Beth stirs up some more trouble for me.”

Jamie turned back around when he finished speaking, placing his hands back on the laptop. He began typing and after a few minutes, forgot the woman behind him. It wasn’t until her arms wrapped around his shoulders and she landed in his lap that he knew it was a mistake.

“It is six in the morning, Jamie.” She whispered, grabbing one of his hands and prying it away from the keyboard. “I don’t give a shit about Beth.”

Jamie felt all he could do was watch as she guided his focus onto her. He couldn’t deny her. Not when she looked at him like that, especially while wearing his clothes.

“You drive a hard bargain.” Jamie grinned as he pressed the laptop shut. “A good one.”
