The Monarch of Great Britain had lost the war for freedom, some say he had went completely insane afterwards. Yet during said war, the King had been…. Weird to say the least. Requesting, no demanding “calm and friendly” conversations with America’s man in charge of the war plans; George Washington.

It was quite odd to Washington, getting demands for a talk from the one man they were trying to break away from. Yet he decided to indulge the King, what’s the worse that could happen? The General was prepared for any attempt at attack.

The conversation between the two was surprisingly calm. The atmosphere was eerie however, with King George being very kind and cheerful? If he didn’t know any better he’d assume the king was attempting to flirt with him, an absurd idea yet it sounded like it.

1797 Washington had become weary and weaker than he had been in his prime, it had been time to step down and take things slow. Word spread like wildfire across the colonies, all hope seemed to be lost with his leave; they’d be blind without such an excellent president.

The word was also quick to reach Great Britain’s Monarch, who was even quicker to demand yet another conversation with Washington. Another annoyance He had to deal with before retiring

Although it probably wasn’t worth it to go, he went anyway just to get it over with. Maybe he’d regret it.

Upon arrival, Washington was immediately greeted by King George who looked severely sleep deprived and almost to the point of losing it; it was expected however, the king was said to over exaggerate. The “Talk” went like the last time they talked, as if they were friends. The king asked how he was, and of course, mentioned him returning “Home.” just slightly different.

The King approached, reaching up to gently caress his cheek. “I have asked you several times, and each time you refuse. So I ask again.” He began, “Return to me, I know we’ve had our fight. Yet…. You have retired, you no longer have a purpose to serve America. I promise to treat you well.”
