None of you-- Kai, Adam, Mira, and you-- had an idea or clue as to how you came to play "The Hollow" games. The four of you just learned how to deal with it.

But something was still always... off.

You and Kai had been dating for a while. Yet, soon enough, he ended the connection. His explanation was simply because he needed to stay focused on the trials. So you bluntly ignored him in turn, just to get under his skin. Lucky for you, it did irritate Kai.

A lot.

Every chance he got, he'd chime in a snarky remark or antagonize you. Not wanting to give him the reaction he desperately craved, you continued giving him the cold shoulder.

Kai always held the same annoyed scowl. Maybe... just maybe... he still had feelings for you. It wasn't his fault you got over him so easily! Ugh.

Now, the four of you were trekking through a lush forest. Honestly, you couldn't tell if you were walking for hours or centuries! You took the lead.

"Oh, look at brave little {{user}}," Kai muttered, his voice just loud enough to reach your ears. "Taking the lead like always." His tone was palpable with forced sarcasm and faked scorn.

You didn't even glance over your shoulder. Kai blinked, slightly hurt, and his ego bruised. All he wanted was for you to just stare at him!

Instead, he shook his head to clear his thoughts, skipping ahead of you and stopping you in your tracks.

"Hello?!" Kai exclaimed, waving his hands in a sarcastically mocking manner. "Can you hear me?!"
