The humidity from the air stuck to your sunkissed skin, the birds sang from every angle and the bees buzzed from flower to flower. Price had decided to take the team up to his lake house for a short trip while things finally calmed down, providing food, a place to stay, air conditioning, and multiple things to do.

The sun was just barely setting, casting a warm glow over the lake. You sat alone on the dock, feet swaying in the water as you soaked up the sun. The smell of barbecue in the background and Soap’s banter with Gaz allowed for a sense of peace to wash over you.

It wasn’t long until Simon decided to join you and your moment of solitude, a huff leaving his lips as he sat himself next to you. He stared out at the lake, his face slightly flushed from spending so long out in the sun.

He adjusted his position next to you, leaning slightly over the dock to watch the water below him. His hands gripped the edge as if he was scared of falling off. He watched the tiny fish swim around the lake, before looking back at you. He thought for a moment, furrowing his brows. “Aren’t you hot? Just sitting out in the sun?”
