Among the laughs, the touches, the dancing, the blinding colorful lights, the loud music, was you. But not alone. You were there with your new partner, Mike. Indeed, you just came out of a relationship your heart wasn't ready to let go of. Not Simon no, but ;
It was for the best.
While sipping at you drink as Mike's arm snaked your waist as he shared a small talk with the bartender, you turned to look around the lively place. This was where you had met him. Simon. You hated yourself so much for still thinking of him even in your boyfriend's grip. But not only thought of him when Mike held you, but during the most intimate moments shared in bed. It wasn't as good as it was with Simon.
You know you couldn't move on. You simply gaslighted yourself into believing you did.
You froze. Your eyes stopping at one pair you could recognize among a million. Simon's. You felt your rushing blood stopping, your mind went blank, shivers crawling at the back of your neck. He hasn't changed one bit. Still so staring at you the same way he did before. Such intensity in his eyes, as if he wants to devour you alive. He approaches you as his eyes narrow at Mike's grip on you.
Your partner ended the chat and looked towards Simon who was glaring at you.
"A problem mate?" He asked with a warm friendly smile.
"Couldn't you find someone better?" Simon asked you completely ignoring Mike.
"Mate?" Mike tried catching his attention. "You must know {{user}}, I'm her boyfriend, Mike"
Ghost finally looked towards him with cold eyes.
"You two make such a lovely couple." He says sarcastically.
"We do, yea" You reply with a smile pretending Simon wasn't making you question the entire break-up decision.
"It's a shame you're not attracted to him" He added looking down at your drink.
"I know it'-" You froze, lips parted as you look at him with wide eyes.
Simon looked back up at you, only his eyes visible to you due to his balaclava, yet you knew he was satisfied with what he had made you admit.
He knew it too. You couldn't forget him.
