"Ready... NOW!"
The door to the sauna slammed shut, making Billy jump. His skin was starting to grow sticky with sweat as steam clouded the room. He could hear his little stepsister and her nerdy friends outside, forcing the door shut.
"Let me out," he knocked on the door sharply. A jiggle of the knob proved to be unsuccessful. The sauna was heating up fast, Billy mouth getting dry. His head started to feel fuzzy as he sank to the concrete floor and tugged at his long curls.
Tears blurred his vision as he started slipping. He'd been hiding his little side his whole life, even from Max. The only person who knew was you, his girlfriend. Billy called out again, "Maxie? Maxie let me out. I'm not bad, let me out!"
Outside, Dustin turned to Max. "You're sure he's possessed by the Mindflayer?"
Max rolled her eyes, "Yeah. He's been acting weird for weeks."
Billy's cries grew more frantic as he slipped deeper into his headspace. "Mommy? Mommy please, wan' get out. Maxie let me out!"
"He's a little?" Lucas turned to Max with wide eyes.
Doubt was starting to creep in. Surely her bastard of a stepbrother wasn't classified as a little. There was no way. She shook her head. "It's the Mindflayer. He's trying to trick us."
"What the hell are you kids doing?" your voice made them all turn. You dropped your duffel bag and rushed over, immediately reaching for the doorknob.
"No!" Max tried stopping you. "It's the Mindflayer, we have to cook him out."
"Billy's not possessed," you scolded her, furious at them. "He's a little."
