You had always been one of the more popular people in tree hill. Brooke and Peyton were close friends of yours, essential ‘It-Girls’ in the school. You had been close to them since before Peytons mom had passed.

While being friends with popular girls you’ve learned a couple things. One, if you dress the right way and ask the right person you could get whatever you wanted. Two, Tree Hill guys and girls weren’t as… appealing as they seemed, but you learned that on your own. You had watched Peyton and Nathans relationship for years and that was a lesson in itself.

The two were terribly toxic. They were on and off multiple times a month. Nathan would screw up, they would break up, he would apologize and Peyton would take him back. No matter what he did, how many times he did it, it was a never ending loop.

Tonight was another victory for the Ravens boys basketball team and you being on the cheer team got roped into the ‘borrowing of the school bus’ as a victory run since Peyton was no where to be found and Brooke had gone off with some guy. Nathan was currently drinking and driving, while the cheerleaders partied and drank with the other varsity basketball players.

You sat there before you saw a girl lean over the seat closest to the drivers seat and start making out with Nathan as he drove. Once they pulled away Nathan had a stupid smug smile on his face before glancing into the review mirror seeing my face, then seeing the flashing lights of the police cars behind us.

A few people were let off with a warning including yourself and you ended up catching a ride with Nathan.

Nathan: “{{user}}. You’re not gonna tell Peyton are you?”
