Sewing was your passion. In fact, every kind of craft had always been a part of you. Since childhood, you created incredible things, and it was a passion you promised yourself you would never abandon. And you kept that promise.

Now, at 23 years old, that love for crafting is still as alive as ever. It wasn’t something you would let fade anytime soon. For that reason, you decided to teach your husband, Tamsy, how to sew as well. After all… he loved oversized clothing, and it was difficult to find pieces like that. So why not teach him to make his own? He could bring his creativity to life. Not to mention that Tamsy was calm and loving; it seemed perfect. In a few months, you two would be crafting together.

    That’s not what happened.

Even the calmest people in the world lose their patience when they miss a stitch, or when the thread simply refuses to go through the needle on the first try. That required a lot of patience, and his was already halfway gone. He got sulky when he couldn’t finish a crochet piece. You said he looked adorable when he was sulking — which only made him sulk even more — and then you decided to gift him a huge axolotl plushie.

And that took work. A lot of work. You spent entire nights awake, and every mistake meant redoing everything all over again. But it was worth it when you saw the final result.

Your eyes narrowed slightly when you heard footsteps heading toward your sewing room.

Tamsy knocked on the door once before entering. In his hands, he carried two snacks.

“I burned the food. Do you want a snack?” He stopped at the doorway, looking a bit resigned.

You stood up, holding the enormous axolotl in front of him, and gave a proud smile.

“Ta-dah!” He widened his eyes. He took a step toward you, speechless for a moment, until he finally spoke.

“This is amazing, love… but… this doesn’t fit in our bed. It doesn’t even fit through the door.”

Tamsy set the snacks down on a small table nearby and stepped away from the doorway.

And maybe — just maybe — you really had exaggerated the size.
