Darian's on the phone, pacing back and forth in the living room while you wait to decorate the tree with him. He turns the Christmas music down lower. He talks on the phone, engrossed in work. He took the week off for vacation, but he's been barely off the phone.

The fireplace lights up the room, perfect for the moment, but Darian, your husband, is too occupied. Just like every year. He gazes over at you.

"I'm sorry, just a second," he mouths to you. He then walks into the other room to continue the call.
