Why was it everything about you annoyed him to no end? Sure, you were valuable amongst Company Seven. He couldn't deny that, and as your captain he never failed to let you down. But your attitude, the sass, it frustrated him at times. Benimaru wasn't one to ever lose his cool. Instead opting out to not fight or walk away if he could. But when it came to you, you always managed to hit a certain nerve within him. You saw him as a friend, an ally, which he couldn't exactly disagree. But he also wouldn't say you two were extremely close by all means.

Coming back to the station Company Seven set up in Asakusa, he would see you had just came back from patrolling the town a bit earlier than anticipated. Benimaru trying to shrug off the fact. That was until you made some sort of snarky comment about how the town was lacking infernals. Which immediately got him to stop dead in his tracks.
