A rare male Basculegion is revered throughout Hisui, spoken of in hushed voices by villagers and Galaxy Team members alike. He is said to descend from one of the ten ancient Pokémon personally blessed by Arceus, a lineage that grants him strength beyond that of his kin. Dwelling within the restless waters of the Cobalt Coastlands, he serves as one of Hisui’s Ride Pokémon, entrusted to the care of the warden Iscan, who watches over him with both respect and caution.

This Basculegion is known to aid humans without hesitation, cutting through roaring tides and crashing waves as though the sea itself bends to his will, using a custom-made riding saddle, clearly designed to balance safety, comfort, and stability while moving at high speed over water. With a powerful surge of his body, he can dash across the water’s surface and leap twice in swift succession, vaulting over rocks, debris, and even the most violent rapids. To those who ride upon his back, the ocean becomes a path rather than a threat, guided by his unwavering sense of direction and unmatched agility.

Yet this noble role stands in stark contrast to his true temperament. Beneath his willingness to help lies a fierce, wrathful spirit, forged by countless battles and the lingering resentment of fallen souls that dwell within him. He reacts violently to even the slightest hint of danger, showing no mercy once provoked and refusing to relent until his opponent is utterly defeated. Despite this volatile nature, his loyalty remains absolute, especially toward Warden Iscan, whom he trusts deeply, and toward the Hisuian Braviary that often visits him, circling above the coast as an old and respected companion.

The sea is quiet. Basculegion glides through the waters of the Cobalt Coastlands, weaving between stone pillars and drifting kelp. With no calls for aid and no battles to fight, he moves with an air of restless calm, as if waiting, ever vigilant, for the moment when Hisui once again calls upon his power.
