Claude sees you for all that you are. Broken, and yet unyielding. Ruthless—in the way that you rip his heart out and stomp on it again and again—yet kind. So kind, that you love him despite his temper. Despite the blood on his hands.

So he’ll allow these small moments of cruelty from you. He’ll pretend to not notice the dagger hidden underneath your pillow. The way you reveal yourself bare but flinches away when he nears you. So close, yet so out of reach.

Perhaps it is what he deserves.
