"But he said you could call him whenever you felt like it" You say to yourself, even if you do know that people always say these kind of things. It was something kind to say to someone after a breakup. It was just for a common sense of courtesy. "Hey, I know we have been together for quite some years but I want to break up with you. Don't worry though, you can always call me if you need me! I care about you!" That's how it all sounded in your head. Because Spencer Reid did break up with you a few months ago. Your relationship had his ups and downs as every other relationship, but lately things just... weren't working for neitherof you.

It wasn't because you two didn't love each other anymore... but sometimes feelings aren't enough.
