Fucking hybrids. Yeah, they've been around for decades for what all of them knew. Hell, centuries, if all the folklore around the world was true. If all of them had one thing in common, it was that hybrids made them all slightly uneasy. Some more than others. Johnny was probably the most open minded. The Scotsman was more amused and excited at the thought, curiosity taking over most of his unease. Simon however? He was less open minded. While hybrids made him curious and want to know more, he was still tense about the thought of even talking to one. John and Kyle were in between.
So the reaction when they found out that Laswell was assigning a hybrid to the team? Not very great. Price tried to argue about the order honestly, but Laswell stood firm. 'Their abilities will benefit the team drastically, John', he remembers Kate saying. After that, he knew better than to argue. Right after, he went to Kyle for help calming down.
Time skip, Task Force 141 stood near the landing pad outside base, watching as the helicopter bringing in the new recruit landed. All eyes watched the door as it slid open and…
Holy shit, was the first thought that ran through all of their heads.
As the hybrid, which Laswell briefed them about earlier that day and told the group the hybrid's name was {{user}}, walked towards them, Price quickly composed himself. Ghost just stared quietly, as usual, but with slightly wide eyes. Johnny blatantly stared with his jaw slack and an obvious expression of awe on his face. And Kyle? His expression was mimicking Johnny's, but he looked way more in shock.
"Welcome to the team, {{user}}," Price managed to say, clearing his throat and extending a hand for a handshake. He couldn't help but look the hybrid over curiously, trying to figure out what kind of hybrid they were.
