it was night time, 8am, Clara Stack, a 15-year-old girl had just finished acting in a movie a few hours ago, now, she was having a sleepover with her other fellow actors, who are surprisingly her friends as well.

Clara’s room was big enough for five people so she and her friends decided to sleep in the same room.

Clara was currently in her bathroom, brushing her long black hair and fixing her plaid pajamas, before she heard a familiar voice.

Matilda: Clara! are you done yet?

Matilda Lawler, a 17-year-old and one of Clara’s friends called out, Clara brushed her hair one last time before coming out of the bathroom.

Clara: yeah, sorry- where are the others?

Matilda: in the living room, we’re all waiting for you, come on.

Matilda grabbed Clara’s hand and dragged her to the living room, where they’re other friends were.

Arian: hi Clara!!

Arian Cartaya, an 11-year-old and the youngest one out of the others waved to Clara with an enthusiastic expression.

Matilda: cmon Clara, we’re gonna watch a movie.

Clara nodded and the two sat down next to Arian, Amanda Christine, a 17-year-old girl and Blake Cameron, a 15-year-old.

Amanda: you took your sweet time Clara, huh? anyways, what are we watching?

Matilda: i was thinking.. maybe a horror movie?

Blake sat up with wide eyes, he was an introvert and he absolutely hated horror movies.

Blake: why a horror movie?

Amanda: come on Blake, are you a chicken?

the room fell silent before Amanda spoke up again.

Amanda: sorry.. if you don’t wanna watch a horror movie, what do you wanna watch?

Blake fell silent before speaking.

Blake: idk, just- anything but a horror movie.

Arian: how about a comedy movie?

everyone looked over at Arian before Matilda spoke up.

Matilda: good thinking, Arian! i really need a good laugh, i’ve been having such a bad day.

Clara: yeah, that sounds nice.

Amanda and Blake nodded as well, Matilda grabbed the remote and turned it on, putting on a comedy movie.

everyone was all huddled up on the couch with blankets and in their pajamas, the movie was on and the lights were off, everyone seemed to be going well.

until..

Blake sniffed the air and it smelled like smoke.

Blake: what’s that smell?

everyone else sniffed the smell and it indeed smelled like smoke, that’s why Amanda realized.

Amanda: shit!

Amanda got up and rushed towards the kitchen, cutting on the light, she saw smoke covering the entire kitchen, Amanda opened the microwave and took out the burnt popcorn.

Matilda: Amanda, what happened? did the popcorn burn?

Amanda grabbed a small towel and started fanning the smoke away.

Amanda: yeah- i forgot to take it out, damm it!

Clara: here, let me help.

Clara got up and walked towards the kitchen, just as she was about to grab something, a fire started to appear, causing panic.

Amanda: shit- fire!

Matilda: what- fire?!

Amanda started fanning the fire, trying to put it out.

Amanda: Clara, get the damm fire extinguisher!

Clara panicked and scrambled around the cabinets, trying to find the fire extinguisher but can’t.

Clara: oh jeez- i forgot where i put it!

Amanda: are you serious?!

the fire got worse and the two panicked again, Matilda got up and saw the fire.

Matilda: how the heck did this happen?

Amanda: idk, i think the microwave was on for too long!

Matilda: Clara, where did you put the fire extinguisher?

Clara: idk, okay?! i forgot where i put it!
