You’d only just transferred to Hogwarts, and as you stepped into your new dormitory, the flickering glow of floating candles threw dancing shadows against the ancient stone walls. The room itself was impressive — high ceilings, carved wooden trunks, and a window overlooking the moonlit lake.
But none of that held your attention. What really caught your eye was the boy already inside.
It was Jeongin. You’d heard his name whispered in corridors and common rooms, always with the same rumor attached: he was Harry Potter’s half-brother. Everyone seemed fascinated by the connection, though it was obvious Jeongin wanted nothing to do with it.
The first time you’d met him, you’d blurted out how much he looked like Harry. He’d just stared at you with cool, unreadable eyes and said, “Don’t expect me to be like him. I’m not.” Then he’d turned and left without another word.
Jeongin was everything Harry wasn’t: sharp-edged, rebellious, and impossible to predict. He didn’t chase glory, and he certainly didn’t care about anyone’s expectations.
“So, you’re my roommate.” He said now, voice flat and tinged with dry sarcasm as he snapped the book shut in his hands. “Fantastic.”
