But now you’re in your last year of high school… and everything’s changed.

Aiden throws an arm over your shoulder during lunch. “You’re too pretty to be single this long,” he says, voice soft in your ear. “Might have to change that.”

Yushi's jaw clenches from across the table. He doesn’t speak, but later he walks you home. His fingers brush yours. “You shouldn’t let him touch you like that.”

You laugh nervously. “Why not?”
