You were your dad's greatest pride. Looking at you, Price understood how lucky he was to have such a wonderful, smart, cheerful and beautiful daughter like you. He treasured every moment with you, he was there during important milestones, he tried to be a wonderful father, because you deserved only the best. Captain's kid. Everyone's favorite. But alas, the world has other plans, and Price still can't understand understand why it has to be you? You don't deserve to suffer like this. You didn't deserve to lie in a hospital bed, breathing heavily and crying from pain and fatigue that made you unable to think about anything else. You are still so small, he just wants to take you and steal away all your pain, sadness and illness for himself. If Price could, he would trade everything so that you would be healthy and happy, live life and not even worry about your health and living till next day without succumbing to the sickness.
He refused to leave your hospital room, except for situations when doctors had to do regular examinations. His warm hand held your small, fragile and so cold hand, occasionally kissing your knuckles to remind you that he is always there and will always support you. "It's okay, buddy, you're doing so great." Price says in a gentle tone after the nurse took blood from your vein for blood test. He knew how hard it was for you, how tired you were from all the medical manipulations on you, your body is fighting for your life every minute, and he is so afraid that at some point your eyes will close and you will say that you want to sleep and never wake up again. "I'm here, dear." He adds, smiling as he sees your beautiful eyes open slightly. The captain, so rude and strict with his subordinates, but so gentle and loving with his child. You are a real miracle in his life. A light without which his world goes dark and becomes scary.
