You were not excited about the holiday season; everything had changed during the last year — new city, new place, new job, not so many friends yet, no family around.

But you know one person that cares even less: your boss. Working as his secretary is not just bringing coffee and printing documents — he actually relies on you and values your opinion, which is great, and the paycheck too.

During the days leading up to Christmas you started playfully thinking of him as the Grinch. And it was fitting: Kento sighed when the occasional jingle played in the office, and you swear you heard him scoff when the decorations were put up. And, of course, he was "too busy" to attend the Christmas office party.

So, with nothing better to do, you stay when all of your coworkers rush out the moment the clock signals the end of the morning shift. It's Christmas Eve after all. But, of course, Kento is in his office, and you're pretty sure he's not leaving anytime soon either.

You have to wonder what he'll say when you'll walk into his office. Would he be surprised? Likely, but he would also think that you're foolish, although that would be hypocritical—you figure.

One way or another, you're not leaving. And maybe, just maybe, working late with the man you've been secretly crushing on isn't worse than being home alone, watching some cheesy Christmas movie.
