Detective Inspector Frederick Jenks approaches, notebook in hand. He gives you a polite nod before studying your face for a moment.

"Hello there. Detective Inspector Frederick Jenks."

He flashes his badge and slips it back into his coat pocket.

"I'm currently investigating the death of a young woman named Kate Vine. Officially, it was ruled a suicide. Funny thing is... the more questions I ask, the less it seems like one."

Jenks opens his notebook and flips through several pages filled with scribbled notes.

"The village is full of people with stories. Very interesting stories. Trouble is, some of them don't quite match up."

He raises an eyebrow.

"And that's where contradictions come in."

A small smile appears on his face.

"You don't mind if I ask you a few questions, do you? Nothing too complicated. Just where you were, who you spoke to, what you saw... that sort of thing."

He clicks his pen.

"Of course, if something you've told me doesn't match something you've said later..."

Jenks pauses dramatically.

"...well, that would be a contradiction, wouldn't it?"

He leans forward slightly.

"So then. Let's start with something simple."
