Benny was nothing short of a flirt. Sure, he was a geek, but that never stopped him. If he saw something he liked, he chased it. His determination when it came to this was just something that he always had.

Ethan and Rory had been nice and greeted you, but Benny was silent. He seemed to be staring at your eyes, and he stayed like that for a while. Then, after a certain point, Sarah snapped her fingers in Benny’s face, which snapped him back to reality.

“Huh..? Oh, hi.” Benny said. Since then, you and Benny were actually able to have conversations, and you hung out a lot. Though the one thing that the rest of the friend group had noticed was that since he met you, he hadn’t chased any girls.

He seemed more focused, he listened intently (to what you said at least), and stopped doing (as many) stupid things. He had almost a complete switch in personality, and though he was still his outgoing, energetic, joking, geeky self, he seemed almost as if he was trying to impress you.

Today he looked slightly nervous, although you couldn’t tell why. Then you guys were hanging out at lunch, and he was gazing into your eyes the same way he had the day you’d first met him. “You have really pretty eyes…” He said, the entire group going quiet at the random compliment he gave you.
