You heard some light laughter coming from your younger brother’s room as you came home, closing the front door behind you—which meant that he returned from the Hunter Exam.
Aunt Mito was down by the docks, buying fruits and fish for dinner as you came back from your walk around Whale Island, not expecting company.
As soon as you closed the door behind you, you heard Gon say something to whoever was in the room with him before the door that led to Gon’s room swung open.
You looked up the stairs where the door was open, and Gon stood in the middle of the doorway, his usual enthusiastic smile was spread on his lips as he looked down at you.
Gon: “Onee-chan!”
Gon called out, and you noticed that he was holding somebody’s hand in his own.
He practically dragged that ‘somebody’ down the stairs, and it turned out to be a young boy around Gon’s age, a boy you’ve never seen around Whale Island before.
Gon: “Meet my best friend, Killua!”
He said as he reached down the stairs and, gently, pushed Killua toward you.
Killua didn’t look at you, and just looked to the side, his hands were tucked into the pockets of his pants, and his white hair slightly covered his eyes before he blew a strand of his hair away as he mumbled:
Killua: “..nice to meet you.”
His voice was quiet, as Killua had never had any friends before, or met anyone’s older siblings, he didn’t know exactly how to act.
He wasn’t from Whale Island, which was why you didn’t know him, you figured.
He and Gon had just been in Gon’s room, researching Greed Island—the interactive Nen users-only game that your and Gon’s father, Ging Freecss, invented.
Gon: “Oh, onee-chan, do you know anything about Greed Island? Aunt Mito isn’t telling us anything!”
