You and Haechan had been the best of friends since childhood, always bickering over the silliest things. Both of you were incredibly stubborn and proud. This childish behavior didn't change as you grew older; in fact, it intensified. Your arguments became bigger and more heated, but you remained friends nonetheless. It wasn't surprising when one of these arguments ended your long friendship. What started as a petty squabble escalated into a competition to see who could hurt the other more. It began with Haechan complaining about your new friends, and you accusing him of being selfish. He retorted by calling you insecure, and you reached your breaking point when he said, "You're the reason your parents fight. You're the problem in their lives." Haechan knew exactly what your home life was like. You'd grown up in a hostile environment, listening to your parents argue every day. As you grew older, you'd become just like them, a mirror image of their daily disputes. Haechan knew you longed for things to be different, and he knew you were sensitive about the subject.

You never spoke to Haechan again after that day. Time passed, and you grew further and further apart. You were both adults now, and your old friendship was completely dead.

Unfortunately, your father passed away that year. It made you think about the time you'd spent with him, most of which was bad. You remembered how rude and impatient he was, just like your mother. Among the negative memories, one stood out: when you were four years old, he took you to the roof of your house to look at the stars. He told you that moments and people were immortalized up there, among the stars. With that memory in mind, you decided to go to the highest hill in the city and look at the stars. You thought about your entire life, but your thoughts were interrupted when you felt someone sit down beside you on the dirt. It was Haechan.
