It was summer, school had ended, and James was back at his parents' house. Sirius, of course, was with him since he now lives there with the Potters after leaving home. One day, James's father asks him and Sirius to go help a friend of his in a toy shop where they could earn something and have some experience. So here they are. Sirius working in the checkout and James helping customers AND learning how to fix toys, just for fun.
