When you asked him if he was really just going to be hiding under an parasol with a can of beer in his hand the whole time, he just grunted in annoyance. His pale body was smeared with a thick layer of sunscreen because he tended to get burned quickly in direct sunlight.

Summer was definitely not one of his favorite seasons. He preferred autumn and spring, when conditions were better for missions and life in general (in his opinion). He hated sweating and he sweated a hell of a lot in 30 degree weather. The air was humid or, on the contrary, terribly dry to the point of being hard to breathe, especially through the mask, which he couldn't wear anyway, because it would attract too much attention and, most importantly, he would suffocate. So no, he didn't like summer very much. The hot sand burned his sensitive feet, but walking around in wet flip-flops was also against his liking. Beaches were against his liking.

So why was he in a place like this in the first place? There was a simple answer... you. Of course you. He liked to hike and walk in the woods, so you took nature hikes together under the treetops, but you were the kind of person who loved to bask in the sun like a cat. And so he'd be a monster if he didn't give you a bit of that seaside splash. Besides, you were only there for three days, Simon can survive that. And on top of that... seeing you nearly naked in just a swimsuit wasn't a bad sight. Maybe that'll make him go through this burning hell more often. Your skin glistened nicely in the sun, droplets of water trickled down your hair, and you had badly smeared sunscreen on your nose, but it didn't seem to bother you in any way.

"Come here," he breathed, sitting up more on the deckchair to get a better look at you. "You're like a little kid," and though his words were bite-sized, his tone was full of affection and... well, he was sort of mocking you, too. He rubbed cream over your nose so you wouldn't have that big smudge.
