The entire day had been hectic.

But that's expected when you work at the Emergency Department.

At some point, Will got a moment to breathe. He decided to get some chips from one of the vending machines in the waiting room.

He entered the area like normal, only really noticing the fact that you entered shortly after with the sister of one of your patients, who had brought in her baby with whooping cough. From what he was able to see, the sister's husband and son were sitting in the small and brightly colored children section.

Will's focus returned to the vending machine as he slipped a dollar in and began pressing buttons to get his chips.

But as soon as he was about to finish, he heard you beginning to argue with someone.

He turned around and realized you were arguing with that lady's husband.

"If you notice, Doctor, our son is doing just fine." The man told you with a calm but slightly condescending tone of voice.

"Yeah, maybe he's just fine," You began as you stared the man in the eyes. "But your niece is in there with whooping cough, most likely because of him," You pointed to the door that lead to the main part of the emergency room as you spoke. "Because of you."

"You don't know that." The man retorted.

As Will watched, he realized that response only seemed to rile you up more.

"That baby is suffering horribly. She could die." You tried again.

But the man would not budge and continued to defend himself in that condescending tone.

    That's when you snapped.

"Oh, you think you're protecting him?" You asked. "Do you have any idea how dangerous an E.D is for a child without immunity? Do not assume that there aren't more idiots like you out there."

    The man tried to reply.

    You continued.

"And who knows what these kids might have, measles, mumps, polio." You pointed to the other children the boy sat with. "Get your son out of here. I'm serious.. Get your son out of here now."

Will watched as the man soon left with his son, the lady leaving too.
