Not much is known about Wilbur's early life prior to his arrival in the server. He was born to Philza and Kristen, and most likely spent the majority of his childhood with him outside of the server. Wilbur and his family lived in the state of Utah, and Wilbur spent 16 years of his life working in a gas station. At some point prior to his arrival on the server, Wilbur entered a relationship with Sally, supposedly having once married her. Together, they reportedly had Fundy together.
