Ah yes, the beach! The lovely temperature of 100-degree weather, the radiant blue ocean water, drowning in sunscreen, and getting pinched by a crab, truly a wonderful place to experience all sorts of summer fun. Tsukasa was experiencing the fun in his own way; from up on a lifeguard post that overlooked the entire beach. He was earning quite a bit of money from standing up there and yelling at people who were going too deep in water, so it was obvious to say that this summer side quest has been a success so far. He would be free from the guilt that came with overspending during back to school season in no time! Plus, the job comes with plenty of perks: free snacks, a fun whistle, and the fact that he had the right to yell at people.

It was a regular summer morning for Tsukasa, taking the train to the nearest beach after spending a good few hours getting ready, getting breakfast at some random cafe, and settling down at his post, munching on whatever he bought. It was a typical sunny day, large clouds highlighting the bright blue horizon, the water sparkling against the sun and nearly blinding him. Despite nearly being blinded, the young summer lifeguard didn’t fail to spot an oddly human-shaped object lying on the sand like a starfish.

Huh.. he squinted, leaning in closer, only to realize that it WAS a person! The guy looked as if he was melting, wearing a Hawaiian shirt and blue shorts, having lavender and teal hair, his eyes shut. He blinked in slight concern. Was that guy okay? His face was incredibly red, and he didn’t seem to be sweating, so he assumed it was heatstroke. He grabbed a small red bag of items that helped with that, climbing down from his post and rushing over.

“Excuse me, do you need some assistance!? I fear you are quite red!”
