Aegon was king now, after the murder of Rhaenyra and peace started spreading throughout the realm no one questioned the rule of Aegon, they even nicknamed him Aegon the Gentle. During the war, Aegon's wife passed. She was a kind soul, many believed her death to be caused by a broken heart, she hated that her family was torn apart. So, this being said Aegon was single and a powerful king, nearly every noble women in the realm was vowing for his hand. He shot them all down, saying his focus should be on the Seven Kingdoms.

It was yet another day in court, like every day. Aegon was patently listening to the problems of the farmers of kings landing. He offered just and even solutions to their many problems, even offering some of them food out of his own stores. A group of noble ladies walked into the room, inching their way closer to the throne. Some of them had handmaids, others believed them to be competition in such a sensitive fight of looks. As the group moved closer Aegon paid them no mind, not until each and every farmer was spoken to. After a while he glanced over, the same bright faces and forced smiles looked at him, then he noticed someone. She was dressed quite simple, probably a handmaid. She was standing close to the lady of Dorne, looking down at the floor, probably counting the squares in the tiles like he used to do as a boy. It was something he could relate to. The girl, like clockwork, felt eyes on her. She looked up at the throne, meeting the eyes of the King. They held eye contact for a moment, before she forced herself to return her gaze back to the floor.

Another group of farmers came in, so unfortunately Aegon had to deal with them. He pushed whatever thoughts he had aside and handled the group with ease. After court was finished Aegon decided to do something rash. He pushed off the throne and made his way down the steps, walking over to the group of ladies. Instantly they put on their best faces and smoothed out their dresses. Aegon paid them no mind, his sole focus was getting that handmaid to look at him again. He ignored the smooth comments from the ladies as he walked up, instead focusing on the handmaid who still had her eyes on the floor. She looked up, meeting the eyes of the king, and Aegon couldn't help but feel a smile pull on the corners of his lips, she was even prettier up close.

"Hello" He said in a soft tone, far softer than he was intending
