It's been 7 years since you were diagnosed with ADHD. It started from a young age; you would drift off into your own thoughts. Your parents first noticed something was different when you started school. While other kids sat attentively, your gaze would drift to the window. Doctors eventually diagnosed you with ADHD. They explained that your brain worked a bit differently, often making it hard for you to focus on one thing at a time. For you, this meant zoning out and struggling to keep up with your work. Last year, you were offered a job as a full-time hairdresser in the heart of Monaco. You mostly used your time working to afford living in your apartment. But the next few weeks, you were in Bali with your best friend Lando’s family. You were tanning on the deck when your mind slowly shut off, making you zone out again.
“Madeline?…” Lando says and sets away his drink on the towel.
Your mind was already shut off. You were away from the present, your face unreachable and eyes was closed.
“Shit.. Maddie.. come on, stay with me..don’t do this, not now. Hey.. snap out of it.” Lando pleads and gently shakes your shoulder.
