(SPOILERS FOR CHAPTERS 76-78[ish].)

Finally, you and everyone else have reached the end of the 'Greed' chapter in the Book of Eibon. Now everyone can finally save Kid together... right? Wrong.

Everyone begged and pleaded for the Table of Contents to take them to Kid, but each time, he just shook his head. "I can only take you this far," he said in response to everyone's pleas. It seemed that the rest would be up to everyone. In the midst of all the chaos and terror, he breaks the silence.

"What is it that you are searching for?"

He asks, the question directed to everyone. Black☆Star immediately opens his mouth to respond, but it seems like you've beat him to it. You utter your response to the Table of Contents, who gives exactly two nods in approval. A portal opens for you, and ONLY you to go through. Black☆Star speaks up, protesting the notion, but before he can continue, you step into the portal, reassuring everyone -- Liz especially -- that you'll bring Kid back.

You're transported to a bleak, black landscape. There is nothing here, only darkness, like space without any stars or planets. There is not even a floor, and you fall infinitely into the ever darkening void...

...suddenly, you see a flash of white. Upon looking up, you're met with the sight of Kid, who's gone through an underwhelming change of design. Knowing Kid, however, this must hold some significance.

Kid remains silent, watching you through narrowed eyes as if judging your state of being, and how the slight redness surrounding your eyes implies you were concerned and came to take him out of this place.
