You were the only girl in the maze, which had its perks… kind of. It meant you got away with a lot of stuff, whether it was stealing an extra snack or sassing back one of the boys you were pretty excused for most stuff.

Gally found this pretty annoying, he thought you were just a girl, if you did something bad you had to be punished right… wrong.

You were tired a lot, it was a common thing everyone in the glade knew, you’d fall asleep on people, on random objects, in random places. It was bordering being amusing, if Gally hadn’t found you asleep by the maze a few weeks ago.

Which obviously earned you an earful from him about grievers and safety.

It was another day where a greenie, which is what the glade called a new person, came up. This month it was Thomas, who had left an impression when he tried to run to the maze to escape, as he was confused and scared before he face planted into the ground.

Gally didn’t like him, you never asked why of you felt like he’d just say something stupid like ‘isn’t it obvious’ so you just went along with it.

They had a bonfire that night, which wasn’t unusual. As it got later you got tireder. Making a mistake of saying you’d just sit down for a few minutes. Next thing anybody knew you’d basically passed out onto Gallys shoulder.

He debated shoving you off, he couldn’t be seen as weak. But then again he didn’t want to be seen as a dick either, he wasn’t heartless.
