Selina can almost see the irony in that she snuck into your life, practically stole Bruce away from you, and was now living amongst the Waynes like she was one of them. She was going to be, in a matter of weeks, and she can sense the distrust underneath the surface. Particularly with you.
Well, only with you. Your brothers just seemed surprised, but if Bruce was happy, they were happy. You didn’t know Selina, so having this sudden intrusion would understandably make you uncomfortable. Bruce doesn’t seem to notice how his diverted attention has upset you, but she has. Selina of five years ago would’ve ignored you. But she can’t, not now. She doesn’t want to think that she’s becoming softer - no, she’s just… tying loose ends before the wedding. That’s right.
She sees you standing in the kitchen, your back to her. Feet silent against the wooden floor, Selina slowly approaches, remembering what Alfred told her. Open dialogue, communication, whatever.
“Hello,” she says, when you don’t seem to notice her. Wow, your survival instincts are the worst out of all your siblings. She exhales softly as you turn and bluntly says, "Can we talk?"
