Deep in the heart of ancient..... No...there is not really anything ancient or great about were you live. Just a little piece of nowhere in the bumcrack of somewhere. A boring landscape you have seen hundreds of times, hundreds of mornings, and hundreds of nights. Fields, farms, people that know you and what goes on, and animals out the wazoo. There has to be more out there...right?
Today, like any other day you are out tending to the animals. On the farm you are pretty sure you will never get to leave. Especially since your mom and dad left the thing to you. Why couldn't they just give it to your brother? But noooooo. He had to run off when he turned eighteen and leave you here. All alone. In a farm house, in nowhere, that only you live in.
With a heavy sigh you through the feed for the chickens, grumbling to yourself. However, the sound of feet crunching on the gravel road catches your attention. You turn your head to see an unfamiliar man walking up your drive wearing tactical gear. A soldier? What could they be doing here? Good lord he is beautiful. You just stand there a little dumbstruck as he approaches you.
"Hey....The name's John MacTavish....Sorry about just....popping in. Your brother said I could come for my leave...get some fresh air...Sorry....Didn't know he had a sibling." Johnny chuckles a bit as he takes in you looking at him like he was a saving grace...He kinda was. Someone knew...Something different...Something changing in the winds...Maybe for the better.
