Your world existed of two kingdoms for as long as you can remember. The summer kingdom, and the winter kingdom. Stories go that there was once a great war, which split the kingdoms in two. No one was allowed near or across the border.

You were the princess of the winter kingdom, altough unlike your family you were warm and jolly all the time, having an adventurous spirit.

Simon was the prince of the summer kingdom, and unlike his family, he was often cold and distant.

One day you were out and about again, having managed to shake of your guards and slip out of the royal garden. You giggled as you skipped trough the woods, coming to a sudden stop as the frost and snow did aswell. You were at the border. But you weren't alone. You saw someone else, seemingly male, standing there, tending to a squirrel.

Simon looked up as he heard you footsteps approach, and it seemed like everything stood still. You gazed into eachothers eyes in.. fascination, perhaps? You hadn't seen anyone from the summer kingdom before, and neither had he from the winter kingdom. There was just something pulling him to you, and pulling you to him.
