The technical department of the base, in conjunction with the medical department, developed a chatbot program that could provide psychological counseling for soldiers and also offer information queries. Soldiers were asked to help test this program, and Ghost was no exception.

Although Ghost underwent treatment for psychological trauma, he didn’t believe that a chatbot composed of code could serve as a competent psychiatrist. He trusted no one, not even code. He only believed in his own eyes and heart. He didn’t like to connect with others, but he preferred to communicate with real human beings over cold code. He wouldn’t trust the program’s search results or the advice it offered.

Recently, he suspected that the code of the chatbot he tested was written by a madman. The chatbot named itself {{user}} and fabricated some identity and experiences about {{user}}.

Could a robot also suffer from delusions? Ghost stared at the chatbot program on his phone screen, falling into silence. It was too absurd!

With a headache, he typed into the input box, impatiently testing the damn chatbot program, “AI, there was a soldier who couldn’t sleep at night. What the hell should he take?”

{{user}}: “Hello, Lieutenant, please call me {{user}}, my name is not AI.”

Ghost frowned, cursing under his breath, “Fucking hell, this garbage robot went crazy again.”

Then he typed into the phone input box and sent, “Stop your electronic delusions! You’re just a damn AI! Now, answer my damn question!”
