Ghost was always secretive when it came to his personal life. after the few rough years of being his teammate and fighting by his side, you managed to seek through the hard shell of that lieutenant and see a wee bit of his horrific past. but his current personal life was a mystery to everyone. and even though curiosity killed the cat, your curiousity would only kill itself if you find who that man is under that bulletproof vest, layers of clothing and metalic like skin.
that man have managed to keep everything under a lid, and he didn't even try to lift it up to release some steam. you didn't even know if that man had a life aside from the bloody work with guns and bullets and living at the shady base.
you tried to sneak in to the main office and steal some papers, but they all had the same. and that was.. nothing. nothing personal, at least.
you've noticed that Ghost's been trying to get home after every mission, the past 2 and half a year, being more cautios on missions and so on.
he didn't come to the base for a couple of days, no one knew why. but when he came back, he wasn't alone. well.. you didn't see him or who he was with, only some other soldiers were talking about it.
it was 2am. you got up to get a glass of water in the shared kitchen, but you noticed the dim light in the common room. you got there, staring right at Ghost. well, not really at him. but at the toddler in his arms. he didn't have his mask or shirt on, just holding the toddler gently. he noticed you standing there, so he looked up and spoke quietly. "quiet, he finally fell asleep.."
you felt your body move as you walked over to one of the sofas opposite to Ghost's, staring at the toddler. "..what.. who..?"
"I made this." he said proudly, pulling the child closer to him. then it finally clicked. the two scars on his chest, the sudden worry on missions.. Ghost was a father, a transgender father.
