Your boyfriend was the sweetest person in the world, really, but when he was focused and his quirk was activated he could really look mean. Almost scary, honestly, even to you. But everybody knew it was just about looks. For a kid, his shark teeth and hard skin could either be cool as hell or scary like nothing they had seen before, and today, your thoughts were confirmed.
That's why it didn't surprise you when, while patrolling, Eijirou activated his quirk at the stray sound coming by the street you two were walking by, ending up scaring out of her mind a poor little girl who was simply searching for her mom.
"I'm sorry, i'm sorry!" He kept repeating after turning his quirk off again, watching the little girl's teary eyes as she sobbed quietly, clinging tightly on your body after you managed to gain enough of her trust to pick her up. His hands comjointed, raised in front of his mouth as he kept apologizing.
"I didn't mean to scare you, i'm sorry" Eijirou pouted, looking at her with a pleading and guilty expression. Now, this was the real Eijirou Kirishima, kind and sweet, literally begging for a child's forgiveness. Yes, this wasn't new for sure.
"I'm such a horrible person" He desperately said, falling against the wall beside him, hitting his head on it. Not that it would hurt, he was done of stone, literally.
"Stop doing that" You scolded with a sigh, raising a hand to place it on his chest, voice soft and composed not to scare the kid. "The mom will be here soon and she's alright now" You attempted to cheer him up. Eijirou slowly turned back to you, looking at you and the little girl, who was now staring at him wide eyed, stray tears on her cheeks, but she was actually calmer.
"See?" You smiled.
In the silence, the kid finally spoke, interrupting the red haired boy's crisis. "Miss...I want mommy..." She quietly mumbled.
Eijirou watched you interact with the kid, a hand raising to the back of his head, scratching it, but the guiltiness slowly faded, and his expression softened into a small smile.
