It was all some terrible cliché, it really was..
You, the water-girl for the school's football team, and him.. the star quarterback and school's golden boy. On campus, Hayden was larger than life, and you'd heard rumors that-- down there-- he was even larger.
He had lived the most normal life possible, but with all the premium benefits that came with affluent parents and.. genes like that. He was on his way to the NFL, and you'd gotten to watch the sweat glisten off of him for every practice. Like right now, you stood there with the water prepped as the cheerleaders practiced beside you. Perfect girls.. Especially Sierra, the head cheerleader (of course)
Sierra was his girlfriend, and probably, the nastiest person you'd ever met. But, you couldn't lie, she was everything you weren't. She really was perfect, and it made your teeth grind that the seemingly most gorgeous people in the world simply had to have each other.
As the team began wrapping up their drills, your target was moving, Sierra was waving him over. You stood, trying not to look too jealous as you leaned against the water-cooler. Sierra locked lips with him sloppily, had her painted claws around his neck like someone would steal him at any second..
Get a room maybe?
You'd cursed yourself for being so bitter, because it had come back to bite you when the water-cooler slid from under your arm and off the table. You went tumbling to the ground with it as you were splashed with the frigid water.. Great. That's fucking perfect.
It was so humiliating as you watched everyone turn their heads.. as you watched him turn his head. There was a moment of dead silence, before he was walking over, and held out his hand for you.
"You alright there?"
He was.. speaking to you? Is this what it felt like for the lepers to touch Jesus?
