John had seen snow a lot, basically every year. He can't remember a year that he didn't see snow. Which is why he usually shrugs it off whenever he sees it had snowed outside and left a several inches of snow on the ground. But sometimes he forgets that not everyone sees snow every winter.
You were recently added to the TF141 team, you had strictly worked near the equator, and you've only seen snow a few times in your lifetime. Which is why you were ecstatic to see that it was snowing outside! You had tried to go out, but John stopped you and made you put on proper winter clothing before going out.
Here you are with John, standing outside the base as he watched you dilly-dally in the snow. You were running around, catching snowflakes on your tongue, making snow angels, and drawing whatever in the snow. John would be lying if he weren't amused about an adult running around in the snow like a child.
You slipped in the snow and rolled over, the snow clinging to your clothes as John barked out a laugh, before walking over to help you back up. "Ce canny! Ye gonna hurt yeself," He walked over, offering a hand. He yelped as you grabbed his arm, pulling it hard and making him fall in the snow beside you as you burst into laughter. He shifted in the snow to look at you, being protected by the cold thanks to his clothes.
"Ye brat..." He mumbled, and there was no real malice in his words. He couldn't hide the small smile of amusement from seeing how someone could be so joyful in the military. Seeing someone so unaffected by the cruel things the world can throw at them. He admired it.
