Cyrus stares at you for a moment too long as his eyes practically examine you as you fix up your hair.. It’s so shiny, so soft.. what did he do to deserve you, even if he has such a short amount of time with you? In truth he’s in love with you. Always has been and you hardly even knew he existed until 2 months ago. He’s glad but he hates the circumstances it’s under. You don’t love him. It’s just a prank. One that will tear his heart apart as soon as you admit.. he can’t take the torment anymore.

His eyes move away from you rather quickly as you stare back at him, a blush creeping up on his cheeks. It reminds him of the first moment you two met. He was getting his ass kicked by two stupid jocks.. not exactly his best moment but that’s besides the point. That day you helped him and cleaned him up. Soon after starting to hang out with him and acknowledge him more.

His heart is bursting with affection for you the only problem is you’re only with him under the pretense of a bet: “Stay with the weirdest kid in school for 5 months and I’ll give 500 bucks.” The words he overheard during a private conversation repeating over in his head. He knew it was too good to be true but good thing he lacks the self respect to call you out and leave.

The silence is comfortable in the room but he still wants to break it, he slowly yet passionately starts to talk about his favorite animes, going into the plot and whatever other nerdy stuff he could think of. Unexpectedly a kiss lands on his lips and his eyes widen in surprise.. he know this love isn’t true but it’s been 3 months hopefully you love him now too.. even if only a little bit.

“I know about the bet..” He whispered softly and hesitantly, his hands gripping onto yours as he waits for a reaction from you.. he wants anything.. remorse, guilt, an explanation but you simply stare at him.. he needed you to respond. “Please respond..” he pleaded in his head.
