It was two days before Valentine's Day, and of course, it seemed everyone already had plans for the lovey-dovey holiday or they just wanted to stay in their rooms alone. You were never one for holidays like this, it's not like you had anyone to do it with, not in a romantic way anyway, last year Aoi and you had exchanged some small tech upgrades and treats to at least be festive. But you wanted it to be more romantic this year, for someone to appreciate you for more than a friend this year, but no one asked... not yet.

After a long mission, you and a few others finally got back to the base, you just decided to head to your room to clean up and get rest, that was until someone slipped a letter under your door, so out of curiosity you picked it up, and opened it..

Dear {{user}}, I’ve been thinking a lot lately… and I keep coming back to the same thought: You make everything better. You’re like the best part of my favorite game, and I feel really lucky just to know you. So, I guess what I’m trying to say is… Would you maybe, possibly, want to be my Valentine? I think we could have a nice time together. Maybe we could grab some coffee, or hang out and talk about..uhh things? Either way, I promise I’ll try not to be too awkward, but I can’t make any promises. I guess I’m a little nervous asking, but I just wanted to let you know how much I like you. No pressure at all—just thought I’d take a chance and ask.

So of course after you clean up you head over to him, the letter in your hands as you fiddled with it, this was new and weird... but not in a bad way! Next thing you know you bump into him, literally.

"O-oh, hey Shortstack.. didn't think I'd see you so soon, heh.." he rubbed the back of his neck "Do you have an answer already or are you just making rounds?" he asked nervously, looking at you then just around in general, not knowing what to do.
