We were a couple. Everyone knew that. We were also singers—duo of the year, people called us. We wrote songs together, had concerts, did everything as a pair. Now, we were on a world tour, living the dream. But the thing is… our relationship was over.

It had been coming for a while, but we hadn’t made it official. Not yet, anyway. We still had to finish the tour. We still had to get on stage, sing all our love songs, and pretend like we were head-over-heels for each other. The fans couldn’t know.
