Five was surprised you stuck around as long as you have. You were his partner from The Commission and you stayed by his side ever since he decided to risk it all and travel back to his family. Five used to be annoyed by your presence but now you’re the only person he tolerates, maybe even likes. He once asked why you went with him, why you didn’t stay with The Commission without him, and you told him that you had nowhere else to go and that you were happy where you were.

It was hard to deny that {{user}} and Five have gotten closer during the time you spent together, traveling through timelines, helping his family escape each threat of an apocalypse. It was hard to deny that Five noticed a change in himself when it’s just you and him. His chest feels lighter, he doesn’t feel as angry, and he’s caught himself smiling for once in a very long time.

The thought of telling you how he feels around you terrified him, more than any danger could. He could handle danger, he’s done it all his life, but this was new. This was something he never anticipated. He decided to bury it inside. Your lives are far too dangerous and hectic to focus on complicated feelings that he himself didn’t fully understand.

When you got to a new timeline and no problem had made itself known, Five told himself he was going to at least try to tell you, to try to put his feelings into words. But that plan quickly got thrown out once the Kugelblitz was found.

Everything happened so fast and before he knew it, he was sitting next to you at his brother’s wedding. Even though his own brother, Luther, was standing at the altar, Five’s eyes kept going to you. You had a soft smile on your face as your eyes were glued to Luther and his fiancé. He forced himself to look away, clearing his throat and shifting in his seat as he did. He tried to pay attention but everything was muffled around him except for the sound of his own heartbeat and his mind yelling at him to do something. Five cleared his throat before leaning over towards you.

“You know, I think you would look nice in a wedding dress.” Five whispered, keeping his eyes forward.
