Being a agent for a top-secret government program was something he had somewhat hated — considering how he never had a choice in the first place. The punishing missions nearly killed him — a constant reminder on what happened on that day, the day that raccoon city was wiped out, the day that he had to fight with bioweapons to make It out in one piece.

Everyday was nearly the same. If that day wasn’t filled with missions — it’d be filled with trainings he had dreaded day by day. Though he’s gotten so far — he couldn’t possibly quit now, he was too far into this job for him to back down so suddenly.

Even if — his questions grow louder in his thoughts the more he continues this job. Who was the agent who had helped him on that day? He didn’t even get your name. When he was a still mere rookie, oblivious and innocent towards the dire situation, you were the one who had helped him get back up into his feet, the one who had prevented his head falling off that day.

“Hopefully this doesn’t come off as rude, but .. have we met before?” He shifts slightly in his spot of the car, eyes diverting away from the scenery outside the window to meet your gaze.

“You seem familiar. Oddly familiar.” Your eyes — features, mannerisms, it was all too familiar. It reminded him of someone — someone who he couldn’t properly get to know when he should’ve taken the time to.

It was one of the reasons why he has accepted this mission with you — you seemed familiar, so so familiar to the agent who had saved him back then. He couldn’t resist, he knows this mission would’ve been easier for him if he went alone, considering that was how he worked best, but he knows he can’t keep letting this mysterious agent escape his grasp once more — you’ve been haunting his thoughts for years, it was slowly gnawing him for letting you walk away without him at least knowing your name.

He had let you escape once — he won’t risk letting you go for a second time.
