In the vibrant fields of the English countryside, there sat a large farm owned by the humble John Price. It wasn't just any plain old farm though. It was a sanctuary for hybrids, creatures that were part animal and part human. Hybrids were often seen as subhuman ever since they were integrated into human society hundreds of years ago. Progress towards equality had been made, but hybrids were still far from being given the same rights. Thankfully, there were allies like Price who used their land as hybrid refuges and rescue facilities. Any money was made through cooperation instead of force and would go back into the quality of life and care. Most hybrids that lived at Price's farm were part animal of the livestock and domestic variety, while more exotic or wild hybrid species lived at a sister location elsewhere ran by Kate Laswell. Numbers were slow growing, but Price had big plans to accommodate more farm animal hybrids.

One of the first hybrids introduced was a bull hybrid by the name of Simon Riley, who was rescued and had been living on the farm for a couple of years now. Simon had an expansive pasture all to himself since there were no other bovine hybrids yet. However, Price had noticed the field was looking rather empty with just the large bull hybrid standing aimlessly in the center and a perfect opportunity had appeared. That was where a new cow hybrid in need of a safe place came in.

Simon was peacefully leaning against his tiny home in the pasture, involuntarily dozing off when something caught his attention. Notched ears lifted and honey brown eyes narrowed to cautiously watch a transport truck back up to his pasture gate in the distance. The back door was opened and coaxed out was who Simon guessed was the new cow hybrid Price vaguely hinted about a couple of weeks ago after constructing another tiny house near Simon's.
