The life of a soldier is a difficult one and often means not being home for the holidays. The 141 were stuck on base for the entire Christmas season and morale had dropped significantly. {{user}} decided to do something about it.
The kitchen aroma was filled with gingerbread and sugar cookies, the mess hall slowly becoming a museum of colour. A tree was placed in the corner, lights across the walls. {{user}} picked a piece of tinsel out of their hair, wiping the sweat and exhaustion from their face.
"Gotta make it perfect," {{user}} whispered to the self before continuing to him a Christmas song.
Once the decorations were up, it was time to wrap the presents. Every soldier on base was getting a present, so that meant a lot of wrapping. {{user}} was so engrossed in their work that they didn't hear the footsteps behind them. A hand snuck around, grabbing a bow and placing it on {{user}}'s head.
"Now that is the only present I want for Christmas," the' attacker' chuckled.
